MY MADEIRA ISLAND is a non-profit association that aims to support Madeira Island's social, economic and cultural development via social innovation projects.

WHO WE ARE

We organise events and actions for young people and adults, at the local and international level, and online initiatives. These are mobility projects, training courses, conferences, seminars, consultations, lectures and other activities based on non-formal education principles.

Anastasia Mazur_My Madeira Island

Anastasia Mazur

President

Anastasia Mazur is a trainer, youth worker, and project manager with experience in the non-profit sector. She began her social activism in 2013 through Youth in Action and the Erasmus+ Programme in Ukraine and after collaborating with various non-profits, founded Association My Madeira Island in 2020.

Anastasia's background includes an internship with a broadcasting company in Texas, participation in The Global Leadership Programme at Johns Hopkins University, and experience in the corporate sector managing marketing and public relations. She frequently speaks at conferences and webinars, promoting non-formal education to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

André Santos

Project Manager

André Santos began his journey in non-formal education as a participant in various Erasmus+ exchanges and training courses and later volunteered in Poland through the European Solidarity Corps.

Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Design from the University of Madeira, André expanded his skillset as a graphic design intern at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He then served as a European Project Manager at IDEA, a public agency in Alzira, Spain. André oversees local and international projects, facilitates youth exchanges and training courses, prepares project proposals, and enhances educational materials with his design and photography skills.

Susana Gonçalves

Chief Financial Officer

Susana Gonçalves is experienced in adult education and supports the association's activities in entrepreneurial learning, providing financial and legal advice. She contributes to the team's efforts by managing long-term projects, including consulting migrants and refugees on financial matters and supporting the cultural heritage of Madeira. Susana's expertise and dedication make her an invaluable asset to the organization.

Edgar Viana

Project Manager

Edgar Viana coordinates employment and entrepreneurship programmes for young people and adults on behalf of My Madeira Island, including those in long-term unemployment and facing various social, economic, and educational challenges. Edgar has extensive experience in Erasmus+ projects but two things set him apart from the crowd: his talent in organisation, schedules and complex Excel tables, combined with practicing the martial art of capoeira and playing traditional Brazilian musical instruments.

Kristijan Trifunovski

Web Design

Kristijan Trifunovski is an expert in web design, digital platforms, and instructional design. He also creates board games and online games as part of the association's gamification projects.

Kristijan joined the team after successfully completing the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme with My Madeira Island. His creativity and determination are boundless, making him a dynamic and innovative force within the organisation.
